KUALA LUMPUR: PAS Youth wants the US government to take action against the producer of the film ‘Innocence of Muslims’ and to stop its circulation.

PAS Youth secretary Khairul Faizi Ahmad Kamil raised the demands today at a rally in Batu Caves that saw more than 200 people protesting against the film after Friday prayers.

The film, which was produced in the US, depicts Prophet Muhammad as a homosexual who endorses extra-marital sex and paedophilia.

“How would we feel if someone humiliate our wife or children? That’s exactly how we feel against Sam Bacile’s film,” he said, referring to the director of the film who has gone into hiding.

The film went viral on the Internet and angered Muslims round the world.

The rally is one of those organised by PAS nationwide today in support of the calls from Muslims round the world to hold protests after Friday prayers.

Khairul Faizi said they will stage another protest next week in front of the US embassy in Jalan Ampang.

“We also hope the government of Malaysia will issue an official complaint on the matter,” he told reporter after the 20-minute rally.
